Japan's Quake, Tsunami Haunt Coronado Shore
This morning, residents of Coronado waited on a hauntingly foggy beach for a two to three foot tidal surge in response to the Japanese earthquake and tsunami. Onlookers from our unique military beach community stood silent. As our navy heads to the affected region to assist in the disaster effort, the people of Coronado would like to express our condolences for Japan's profound loss.
